Pekas is a family-owned business made by Jaime Bedoya. He has a passion for Colombian food and wants to share it with the world. Jaime is an immigrant from Colombia who moved to Australia in 1997. Despite Australia’s diversity, he noticed that there was not a lot of Colombian representation and its delicious cuisine.

Pekas started as a hobby, selling Colombian food to family and friends to bring a little piece of home to those who may be feeling homesick. The small business that Jaime had created was called Cositas Ricas and was created in the year 2000. Now he rebranded and created Pekas in 2021. With Pekas' succession, all its products are sold across Sydney.

Jaime wants to share his culture's cuisine with others, so he handmakes traditional dishes like arepas, empanadas, and morcilla with love and care. Pekas now offers a wide range of Colombian dishes, snacks, and drinks.
